Terms & Conditions
1. General
By hiring me for design services, you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms ensure a clear understanding of responsibilities, timelines, and expectations between both parties.
2. Scope of Work
All work and deliverables will be outlined and agreed upon before the start of the project. Any additional requests outside the original agreement may incur extra charges.
3. Revisions
Unless otherwise specified, the project includes up to 3 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions may be billed separately.
4. Ownership & Usage Rights
Final payment ensures that ONLY the agreed design becomes the clients property. Any previous ideas/ concepts remain the property of Designs by John Dæhn, unless any prior agreement has been made. Once full payment has been received, the client will own the final approved design files. I reserve the right to showcase the work in my portfolio or promotional materials.
5. Payment Terms
Invoices must be paid within 14 days of issue. A deposit may be required before work begins. Late payments may be subject to a fee.
6. Client Responsibility
The client is responsible for providing accurate content, feedback, and approvals in a timely manner. Delays in communication may impact delivery timelines.
7. Liability
Once a design has been approved and signed off by the client, I am no longer liable for any errors, costs, or damages arising from its use (e.g., misprints, incorrect content, or unexpected usage outcomes). It is the client’s responsibility to double-check all final files before production or publication.
8. Cancellation & Termination
If the project is cancelled before completion, a fee may apply based on the amount of work already completed. No refunds will be given after final files are delivered.
9. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep sensitive information confidential and not share it with third parties without permission.
